We are a nonprofit organization focused on supporting disabled folks who work in (or want to work in) book publishing (i.e. publishers, agents, lit mags, etc) in the United States. We will collaborate with other groups (e.g. authors, booksellers, librarians, international), but that is the focus. For more on who this organization is meant for, check out our Membership section on our About page.
We're not sponsored or run by any other organization. We are a nonprofit organization with 501c3 status as of November 22nd, 2022 and are in the process of raising funds in order to make a greater positive impact in the publishing industry. Read more about how we got started on the About page, and click here to donate and support our mission.
Our definition of disability is broad and inclusive of invisible & chronic illnesses and neurodiversity (among others). We're not here to gatekeep anyone's identity.
